Hey Everybody!

We wanted to update you on a few things:

1.

Kenya

Orphanage

So many of you have been praying for the situation with the orphans in
Kenya
– thank you! Scott returned last week and felt like his trip had gone really well. He was able to have many key meetings and get the ball rolling to move the house parents out and some new staff in. The only wrinkle was in our desire to move them to another area of the city; that is on hold until we can get approval from all of the guardians. However,
TODAY is the day that the house parents are moving out and the new staff is moving in. We are told the orphans are pretty excited about the change and are doing well and we are thankful to the Lord that the process has been able to happen so quickly. Please continue to pray that the transition goes well and there is no trouble from the old house parents.

2. This past weekend in

Seattle

Scott and I were in

Seattle

this past weekend for the missions weekend at

Boulevard

Park

Presbyterian Church.

We had a tremendous time visiting with everyone, being a part of some small groups and sharing a men’s breakfast and a baby shower (which was beautiful
J
). Scott spoke on Sunday morning and enjoyed that as well. For all of you in
Seattle
thank you for taking such great care of us with your love, prayers and support. We appreciate you and were glad to get to enjoy your company for the weekend!

3. Trip to

South Africa

(Feb16-March1)

Scott left yesterday for
South Africa
.
He will be traveling to Johannesburg and Jeffreys Bay in South Africa and also to Swaziland. We have staff in each of those locations and he will be visiting them. He will also be helping some prospective staff (who are traveling with him) decide if any of these places would be a good fit for them and their families. He will spend a few days in each location and then return to

Johannesburg
for an extra day to visit some friends who are missionaries there. He will also be able to go to the wedding of a family from
Seattle
that is happening at the same time he’s there – Congratulations to the Hartley’s!

Pray for Scott:

  • that he would have good connections with each of the staff in the short time he’s there
  • safety for the team as they travel
  • wisdom and guidance to help the prospective staff find their fit

P.S.   Scott didn’t take his computer and won’t be able to send email updates but he will be able to update our Blog periodically.

4. Picture of Lisa

Many of you have asked for a picture of me – mostly of my stomach
J
– so here you go! Baby Nelson is doing well, thanks for your prayers for both of us. Monday will be 6 ½ months – whew!

Thank you for your prayers. We love you!

Scott and Lisa
