I arrived in Kenya on the 18th after a quick three days in England at our base there. Lisa just arrived last night and is trying to sleep of some jet-lag. It feels pretty good to be back in Kenya for a visit even if it is only for a couple weeks. It was a reminder of how God has given us a Love for the people here and a passion for what He is doing here. Last night we sat in our house feeling in a lot of ways at home. Since our house here was our first house as a couple there is a special feeling about being together here.
There is alot going on right now. Two of the World Race teams are staying at our office for a month and it has been good to spend a little time with them. The First Year Missionary team arrived yesterday morning as well and they are currently on a “tour” of Kibera with Pastor Timothy Mulehi. And there are three friends from DRIME who are staying at our base as well training Kenyans in Drama and Evangelism to start a base for them here in Kenya. DRIME is a drama, evangelism and drama training ministry based out of Vancouver BC that I have been working with for about the past 5 year. They have graciously trained many of our short-term mission teams and have been to Kenya twice on short-term mission trips themselves.
So you can see that there is alot going on here. There are alot of relationships to renew and alot of logistical things to take care of as well for the base. We know that this time will go fast but we wanted to let everyone know what we are up to so that you can be praying for us while we are here. We hope to update you regularly on what we are doing whether it be fixing vans and paying bills, training and debriefing teams, hanging out with friends, trying to find the right land to build our orphanage on, Helping the staff feel comfortable in their roles or any number of things that we will surely find ourselves doing while we are here.
So please pray with us that we would not just be busy but that we would by about the things that God would have us do while we are here. One thing i have been learning over the last couple years (I am a slow learner) is that there is always more to do than there is time to do it. As God has been teaching me this i have realized that often all the things that need to be done are good things but just because something is a good thing doesn’t necessarily mean that God wants me to do it. He will lead me to the things that He wants me to do, but in order to do that i need to stay connected to Him and His leading.
So pray that we will stay connected to God during out time here and that we would share His love to all that we come across.
Thanks for your prayers and support while we are traveling. Feel free to write us or post comments as we share what is going on here in Kenya and then in England, as we are stopping there to visit the base in Salford before we head home.
more to follow.

Hello Scoott and Lisa, this is Ronald and I must confess this is my 1st voyage with “blogging”. Is that what I am doing?
I continue to pray for the obvious things, safety, etc. Also I pray for your ministry to be continuously affirmed in you. It is clear to me that you guys are in the groove (they use that a lot in racing if you are where you should be in the race) and I believe you are in that place. God uses you in different ways and even shows you some of them. Debbie and I see some that you may not. Enough for now, just know that Good Ole Deb and OMG love you.
