Just a quick update to let everyone know that we made the journey from Kenya to England with no problems.

It was sad to watch the team driving away to Kijabe since we knew that we were hours away from getting on an airplane ourselves. As they drove away we turned and walked back into our Kenyan Home for one of the last times. It was difficult to walk away from this house knowing that we both didn’t live there anymore and that the owner was selling the house and therefore we wouldn’t even be able to call this home on our trips back to Kenya.

All in all we left kenya with mixed feelings. We were glad to be starting toward home after being gone for almost a month now and we were sad as we were feeling less and less like we live in Kenya now. But we know that God has many adventures left in store for us and so now we begin to look toward the adventures that are ahead!

So now we are in England. When we called the team upon our arrival we found that it was their day off!! What a great idea we thought. So instead of joining them and putting a wrinkle into their day off we decided to take one of our own. It was a blessing and a needed day of rest. We drove up toward Manchester and found a pretty good deal on a hotel for British standards and it just so happen to be right next to the Manchester United Soccer Stadium. Too bad there was no game that day. But we had a good night steep and a good restful afternoon after we finally found the hotel!

And now we are getting ready to head out to meet up with the team. Pray that we would be an encouragement to the team, Josh and Shannon (the leaders), and the ministry partners here in England. Our time is short here but our desire is to leave having learned more about the ministry and life here in Salford where the team is so that we can be an encouragement to them from home and also to understand some of the challenges of living and ministering here.

hopefully we will be able to catch up on some pictures while we are here as well.

thanks again for your prayers and encouragement.

love you all
