The last couple days of our lives have been filled with the arrival of the newest addition to the Nelson family and both Lisa and our son recovering from the C-section that marked his arrival.

Luke David Nelson arrived on June 1st at 6:49pm. He weighed in at 9lbs 2ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Lisa, petite as she is was just not made for a baby that size to naturally fit out of her. As labor continued the doctor became more and more convinced that the end result would be a c-section delivery.

Lisa's mom and i both were able to be in during the delivery. it was pretty amazing to be a part of. I can't tell you how much i am learning in this process! Through the diapers and the feeding and the lack of sleep God is teaching both Lisa and I so much about life that we weren't able to understand before. I am sure the lessons are just beginning.
