Welcome Baby Luke!

The last couple days of our lives have been filled with the arrival of the newest addition to the Nelson family and both Lisa and our son recovering from the C-section that marked his arrival.

Luke David Nelson arrived on June 1st at 6:49pm. He weighed in at 9lbs 2ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Lisa, petite as she is was just not made for a baby that size to naturally fit out of her. As labor continued the doctor became more and more convinced that the end result would be a c-section delivery.

Lisa’s mom and i both were able to be in during the delivery. it was pretty amazing to be a part of. I can’t tell you how much i am learning in this process! Through the diapers and the feeding and the lack of sleep God is teaching both Lisa and I so much about life that we weren’t able to understand before. I am sure the lessons are just beginning.
